Suomi M31 Reweld Jig
Quantity in Basket:
Shipping Weight: 1.00 pounds
This jig comes in 2 major halves, both are made from T6160 aluminum - the rear half being a tube style with walls nearly a full quarter inch thick. This makes it very strong and able to release absorbed heat into the air space within itself.
The forward section is solid T6160 Aluminum and is drilled through to allow a piece of all thread to pass though it. The forward piece is shouldered and sized to fit the front nose section and replicates the size of the barrel as it sits in the nose (as if it were uncut). It then continues to the rear passing through the extraction and ejection area (the forward section does have a slot that slides over the ejector) and then it ends where the forward edge of the rear half butts against the forward wall in the bolt galley.
The jig allows the builder to align the pieces (I recommend using the FCG, rear sight base and the barrel shroud to assist in this and may require the builder to devise his own methods for jigging the pieces (since no 2 kits are cut exactly the same) but in large the jig should be usable on the majority of the cut styles I have seen.
This jig is ONLY for rewelding Original diameter tubes and is not provided with any blocking rail/pin cut outs (this is done because of the vast locations and ways that this particular tube can be blocked that we can not possibly predict where any one user would want their block to be located). This jig can be used to make a non NFA style tube as long as a block bypass Channel is created and the block installed into the receiver piece(s) BEFORE the overall rewelding process starts.
Using this jig, as designed, to reweld your pieces you will be left with a Original ID receiver
